Maddies first ranch trip!

Joe and I went out to the ranch last weekend - so Joe could go turkey hunting. I usually pass on going to the ranch because it's not a baby friendly place. But it was nice weather so we went! Maddie is not quite sure if she likes grass or not... she just sat in it... she wouldn't crawl around or anything. We only stayed one night but enough for Maddie to see the ranch and the animals.
On another note, Maddie is ELEVEN months old today... I can't believe she is going to be one in a month. Crazy! I've been very busy trying to plan a party... But I think I got it figured out. (Not that she will even remember her first b-day)

Mazie and Maddie both look out the kitchen window to see people coming and going. Unfortunately, today it was Daddy going. Joe got a job in Salem and had to leave town this afternoon. I'm super bummed about it. I'm grateful that in this economy he is lucky enough to have work but I just hate that it has to be out of town. That means that for the next 5 days I play single mommy! And I hate it. It's a lot of work and can be pretty lonely at times... Ie.. right now the baby is in bed and it's normally my time to chat with Joe over a glass of wine before we go to bed. So instead I'm blogging. Probably not a good thing to be blogging when I'm sad and pms-ing! Joe is happy he is gone this week. :) I just keep praying that this will end soon and we can have a normal life again with Joe home at night after work. Maddie doesn't understand.. thank goodness- that would make it really hard if she cried when he left. But poor Mazie is so sad. She sulked all day as he was packing up to go and just follows me around with her big sad brown eyes.
Okay- enough feeling sorry for myself... I'm going to go do some yoga!

Little miss Madelyn was enjoying some naked time and I put her bunny ears on. (which she has broken one ear already) And i have to say she is the cutest darn naked bunny I have ever seen! Sorry to those of you who are my facebook friends because you have to see the picture twice...
Maddie is doing great- getting more and more personality everyday... She loves to hang out with her older friends... Her new boyfriend is Westin- he is almost two. They hung out last friday and she followed him around all day and laughed. She just loves him. She wants so desperately to walk... and mommy wants her to walk by her first birthday so that her pretty little party dress looks FANTASTIC!

She would much rather play with the wine bottle than all the toys behind her. :) She is definately a product of Joe and I...

So far so good....

Well, as of yesterday the naps have been back! :) I have knocked on wood about 20 times. I'm really hoping that they stay. :) But today I got 2 two hour naps again.
So I am a much happier mamma and she is a much happier baby!

UGH!!!!!

I'm a really frustrated mom right now..... My daughter just won't sleep....!!! I know that she is teething. Her top 2 are coming in. But- What happened to my perfect little angel? She used to take two 2 hour naps a day. Now she doesn't want to go down at all. She slept for about 30 minutes in the car today and then I tried to transport her in her room and she just wouldn't have it. So she stayed in her bed (pissed) for about 45 minutes. So I got her out and she got into the toilet paper! OMG.... what am I going to do with her?
So I let her play a little more and gave her a snack (and some motrin) and now she is in her bed- but not sleeping. She is going back and forth from playing to screaming. I don't know how I could ever deal with two! (Sorry Meg!)
She is lucky she is so darn cute......but I don't care how cute she is... she is not getting rid of her naps... She is not even 10 months old yet! :)
